Do you know that toxic chemicals (brominated flame retardants , formaldehydes, BPA, etc) are commonly found in cuddly toys and plastic toys. Toys! You might be like me, asking why are chemicals that are proven to cause disruption to children’s brain development and their hormonal and endocrine systems found in children’s toys?

Come on, you know that we can do better. I choose not to buy toxic toys. You can too.

My Natural plush toys are safely made free of harmful substance and toxic chemicals. Natural cotton is used which does not contribute to net greenhouse emissions as compared to petroleum based fabric.  We also use non toxic low reactive dyes which also helps reduce toxic level for our environment. Eco, non-toxic and perfectly sized for age 0 to 10 years old. Is it the perfect gift? Very close.

We made non-toxic toys affordable in Organic Eve. Happy gifting!

My Natural plush toys are machine washable. Please note that the colour may fade as you wash as low eco impact dyes are used.

BPA Free

BPA stands for bisphenol A. BPA is an industrial chemical that has been used to make certain plastics and resins since the 1960s. Some research has shown that BPA can seep into food or beverages from containers that are made with BPA. Exposure to BPA is a concern because of possible health effects of BPA on infants and children.

PVC Free

From production to disposal, PVC is associated with the use and release of hazardous chemicals.During the production phase, workers at PVC facilities, as well as residents in surrounding areas, may be exposed to vinyl chloride (the building block of PVC) and/or dioxin (an unwanted byproduct of PVC production), both of which are carcinogens. At the end of a product’s life, PVC can create dioxin when burned. PVC is not easily recycled. Lead and other metals are sometimes used as a stabilizer or to impart other properties to PVC plastic.

Lead Free

Lead can harm brain development, with effects including reduced IQ, shorter attention span, and delayed learning. There is no safe level of lead exposure. Since August 2009, products containing a concentration of lead—both in the paint and in the product itself—greater than 300 ppm have been listed as banned hazardous substances. This limit will be lowered to 100 ppm as of August 2011. The CPSC has the right to decrease the amount of allowable lead as it sees fit and in accordance with technology at the time (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, CPSIA 2008). According to the CPSIA, electronic toys in the United States are exempt from the lead ban, though this is subject to change by the CPSC as technology improves (CPSIA 2008).

Phthalates Free

Phthalates are a group of chemicals used to make plastics more flexible and harder to break. They are often called plasticizers. Some phthalates are used as solvents (dissolving agents) for other materials. They are used in hundreds of products, such as vinyl flooring, adhesives, detergents, lubricating oils, automotive plastics, plastic clothes (raincoats), and personal-care products (soaps, shampoos, hair sprays, and nail polishes).

Latex Free

Some children have an allergy or sensitivity to latex (rubber). Reactions can be seen when products made from latex come in contact with the child’s skin, mucous membranes in the mouth, genitals, bladder, or rectum, or the bloodstream (during surgery). Some children may also react when blowing up a rubber balloon or breathing in powder from the inside of latex gloves.

Cotton Fabric

Synthetic products are often treated with plenty of chemicals to give them a good finish. These chemicals can cause rashes on our newborn baby’s skin. Cotton on the other hand is not subjected to such finishing treatments. This makes it perfect for your newborn’s use.
